    2019.1a14 Audio glitched/cracks/pops under workload

    Press play and use headphone to listen to the test audio. The test audio is designed to contains low frequency sound so you can hear the glitch obviously. The glitch seems to increase the chance of happening depending on workload, try duplicating the Canvas while in play mode. The glitch sounds like buffer underrun.

    In 2019.1a13 the problem was worse, you can only hear harsh noises. a14 is better, but still the problem exist. In 2018.3 I am not recalling any problem.

    When the audio glitches, it is a lagging not skipping. So any game event you have synched with the audio will be now ahead of audio.

    In my full game it strangely glitches in a certain interval consistently, suspecting it may be something about the new garbage collector.

    In my full game, I was hearing glitch in my full scene. Then I create an empty scene with only AudioSource and still hear the glitch. But over time, the glitch begins to disappear while I am staying in the empty scene. From then, I go back to my busy scene and the glitch is no more, but seems to gradually build up a little by little. If that helps.
